“‘Follow me,’ Jesus said” (Luke 5:27).
Following Jesus is the most important step you’ll ever take.
Whether you're exploring faith for the first time or taking steps to deepen your relationship with Him, we're here to help you on your journey.
Jesus is the central figure of the Christian faith. He is the Son of God, who came to earth to reveal God's love, offer forgiveness of sins, and provide a way for us to have a personal relationship with God.
Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus demonstrated God's infinite grace and truth toward humanity.
Following Jesus is more than just believing in Him; it's about surrendering your life to Him and experiencing His transformative love —a love that offers forgiveness for your past, growth and meaning for your present, and assurance for your future.
Following Jesus begins with 5 simple steps.
Did you know that God loves people (including you)? In fact, the Bible says that, “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
Despite God’s love for people, each of us have done things that grieve His heart (and harm us). These things are called sin—and sin separates us from God. The Bible puts it this way, “your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you” (Isaiah 59:2).
To restore the relationship between us and God, Jesus lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and then rose to life from the dead. He now offers forgiveness and resurrection life as a gift. As the Bible says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
You're invited to make a choice—to personally receive the free gift of forgiveness and life that Jesus offers. The Bible says, “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God” (John 1:12–13).
How do we receive? It starts with a conversation between you and God (prayer). The Bible says, “If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). We invite you to talk to God now using the suggested prayer below.
“Dear God,
I know I’m a sinner,
and I ask for your forgiveness.
I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son.
I believe that He died for my sin
and that you raised Him to life.
From this day forward,
I will trust Him as my Savior
and follow Him as Lord.
Guide my life and help me
to always say ‘yes’ your will.
I pray this in the name of Jesus.
Amen.”
